It started as a woodworking hobby—trying to build electric guitars. The parts were expensive, so the idea came to sell custom wooden pens made on a small lathe using the wood scraps from cutting out the guitar bodies.
The colorful sawdust coming off the lathe was too pretty to throw away, so it was put into plastic bags and saved. As one thing led to the next, suddenly homemade paper was being made using a blended mixture of this wood pulp, Christmas wrapping paper, and metal shavings from the grinder in the workshop. Due to the slow drying of the wet paper during this process, the metal shavings become rusted (known as foxing) to give the paper an antique appearance.
It became clear the next necessity would be a letterpress to be able to print onto this rugged craft paper…

With limited PhotoShop skills, the original letterpress stamp was slowly and eventually digitized into two versions—one solid and one outline. For the first release "white label," arrows were faintly added in the background to symbolize new beginnings, hope, peace, luck, and prosperity--like the release of a white dove. The arrows originate from two positively charged dipoles. The angel is lifted by this positivity. The hands hold together the idea of Syntropy.
The digitalized version was used by Masciarelli Design and DeCrevel Stamping & Embossing Dies to create the original wine label.
Larger photopolymer stamps were created that could be used to make handmade letterpress prints for the first release 1.5L magnum bottles.
